It's so crazy it might work?
For the next statement of Haiku /, say whether or not you agree or disagree, and why? "A disused lighthouse wind turbine about to happen. "disused lighthouses are often out of the way of cities and can leverage the full force of the winds coastal besides that are structurally similar to windmills anyway. I'm sure there are many issues of engineering and planning headlight conversion for wind turbines, but this idea, even slightly viable? I'd love to see what happens! There is even a scientist who is working on a large wind power kite altitude! A true story.
There are some problems with this idea … First, I totally agree with 'Kender_fury "- The structure of the lighthouse is not designed for, and therefore will not be able to cope with the forces exerted on it by adding a wind turbine. Convert the handful of obsolete lighthouses throughout the country, or a windmill Platfor mwith three or four generators "will be almost no use at all in the grand scheme of things. Remember, you need a wind farm the size of Greater Manchester to coincide with the output of a single nuclear power station. Oh, and remember also that if the wind does not blow, not a single watt! So no, not work. Sorry. : (
