Why the slowdown turbines and wind speed? Is not it good to go faster? as the wind speed is a cubic?

The windmills are designed to work efficiently in relatively low wind speeds (or average wind speed) to produce more continuous energy. For this reason, the leaves are very designed so critical to be as light as possible to maintain its low inertia to react to the low wind speed. The air foils are designed for a wind speed ultimately much more that aircraft are designed and evaluated with a never-to-exceed or Vne speed. When wind velocity exceeds aerfoil design significantly, oscillations or "flutter" can be induced to break the leaves apart. High transmission rates and imbalances will lead to inherent vibration and also result in structural failure. The centrifugal forces of very long leaves, the highest speed that the design, also going to destroy the wind generator. Wind generators could be designed for high wind speeds, but would be much smaller and heavier and not efficient or do not work at all in average wind speed.
