homemade wind turbine car alternator?
hi i can not platform standard car alternator from a home made turbine wind to charge a car battery? .. reason I ask is that someone said something about a regulator???

You may have 800 or 1,000 rpm – the turbine is not spinning so fast you need to fix a device Overdrive – pulleys and a belt would work.

i have made wind turbines from car alternators..i used a 10 speed bycycle chain and gears…verry simple thing to do..use the bering housing from the main cranks..cut off the cranks..leaving the sprocket and one tube.about 10 inches long..usually the one the seat is atatched to..cut pipe spacers to space the alternator the right distance away from tube..to align with top big sprocket.bolt on make chain the right size and your well on your way..be sure to cap the holes where the other tubing supports were cut off…mount hub and blades to otherside of main crankshaft…build swivel and tail..wire up and you have a good useable turbine
