Why not put solar panels and windmills to generate power even more?
My husband works in wind turbines trade. First, wind turbines are where the wind is. That does not mean they're always where there is enough sun to be worth adding solar (energy solar about 7 times what the wind is not). Perhaps, however, the most important factor is the heat. Have you noticed all the wind turbines are white brilliant? Are that color for a reason. To reflect as much solar energy were raditaion turbine as possible.
