What batteries and solar panels need to power my door opener?
I bought an electric can opener just swing, and the need to purchase the correct battery and solar panels to power it. This gate, on average, have to open and close no more than 4-5 times in a period of 24 hours and Some days, 2 times maximum. Therefore, given the huge investment I have made, I would buy the right batteries and solar panels, without "overkill". The gate is 24 volts, so I sold it will require (2) 12 volt (2) 12 volt solar panels. What is the best buy for me financially?
Well, the purchase that you are doing (using solar energy) is a large financial purchase. You've answered your question though – the only thing have to do is get two 12 volt batteries (you can buy these at almost any store) and two 12-volt solar panel (you can find these at home almost any hardware store like Home Depot, Lowes, and I've even seen some at Wal-Mart.
