Does the DC port in my charge the battery on my digital camera, or simply allow it to run without using battery power?
I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 digital camera, and I'm about to do some traveling in remote areas. I want to be able to charge the batteries (Li-Ion) with a solar charger or other device without having to find a wall socket to connect. I figure the only way this is possible by using an adapter connected to a solar charger that can connect to the DC port on my digital camera. But really this port charging batteries, or just run the camera of that power? Or there is another way for me to charge my Li-Ion batteries with solar power or something? Has anyone else tried a similar problem before? Thanks for your help!
