I need to connect a solar panel for a 400watt inverter. What size, watts, amp solar panels do I need?
I need to connect a panel flooring for a 400watt inverter. What size, watts, amp solar panels do I need? I'm trying to run my inverter off a solar panel, but until now my 12V, 150mA not work. I guess I must be a specific amp and / or power. Please help!
A panel labeled 12V, 150mA is a practical 1 watt, so probably much less than needed to even start the inverter. I suppose that the investor is the type normally connects to a car? These are not particularly efficient, because they know that the car battery can provide a wide stream, and they want to be low cost. What you can do is charge a battery car over a period of weeks with his panel, and then connect the inverter to the car battery. Another experiment, if you can get an ammeter, to measure how much the investor is making the car battery when you connect the device you want in it. That will tell you what is currently in need of your solar panel. My guess wild is that you would want at least 80 to 100 watts of panel, unless you wanted to be something that several hundred watts, in which case, you could buy a panel (say) 40% larger than its load. This is because the investor will lose much cheap energy as heat.
