Solar panels with snow?
Hello. I live in Colorado, and obviously get a ton of snow. I am looking into a solar energy system for my house, and I wonder if snow accumulates on the panels, or if, because of the energy the way, it will melt in contact? By the way you get near 20 ' snow each year, and comes often. I also put them in my house. Thanks for your help.
Good news and not so good news. You need to be able to access panels to clean the snow. There is no heat generated than the heat of the sun hits the black – which would amount to a certain capacity for a day melting sun – but not sunny when it snows! Apparently, the solar panels work best in cold, where snow can reflect light so as to increase the amount of light – photons — hitting the panel.
