If someone builds a house outside the network …?
If someone builds a house on their property and not connected to the mains supply or public water, the house must still legally in accordance with state and local codes of the building?
Building codes applicable to most the parts of a house. Examples include the maximum height of a building, step ladders, porch railings and balusters, roofing materials and more. Most Building codes have nothing to do with water and electricity supply. In most locations, it necessary to connect to public water and sewer, if available. Most houses in rural areas have their own wells and septic systems. The septic system must be designed by a professional for household size and soil conditions. If you generate your own electricity from the house wiring should be up to code. Also many outlets in a circuit would not be good. It is much more expensive to make than to buy their own electricity network. The only exception is if the network is so far from home that the cost of network cabling is prohibitive.
