Much has been written about the construction of wind turbines in the country to offset the cost of energy and more particularly the need to reduce production energy in utility plants contribute to the environment. Many of the plans offered to show the potential builder of how to produce electricity. But the question is not how "doing" of electricity for many potential buyers. This is more a matter of how we use electricity that have occurred? I have seen many articles written on this subject, citing many of the turbines can be built for $ 100 or less. This type of "marketing" has led to much confusion with consumers in the wind energy community. I would make two comments to this article.
First, There are basically two types of systems. The first is tied interactive network, these systems allow power to be stored in batteries and then the excess power that is made to flow directly into the home network owners power thereby offsetting the need to supply to the utility. Another variant of this network is the direct link that operates the same as above but does not use batteries. These systems are somewhat limited in that there are currently few products on the market and most of them have UL listings. The wind SMA child is an example of a product that is directly connected and network tie has UL certification but currently back ordered and very scarce. These systems are excellent, but are generally very expensive and in many cases are over a thousand dollars. Use technology and pure sine wave power generation equivalent quality in most cases to the utility
Second are outside the network systems. These systems can be as simple as plugging in a power inverter to a battery bank. Banks are usually made with 12 to 24 or 48 volts. A 3000 watt inverter can be purchase around $ 250. The problem with these inverters are cheaper than using the modified sine wave technology and may or may not power sensitive electronics. In the event that can not be bad for sensitive products and shorten the service life. Besides, who wants to run an extension cord to cheap energy to power the inverter elements of the house? Network Pure sine-wave links are available for applications outside of the network as well, but generally have the highest cost associated with the network interactive tie.
So while much attention has been paid to the creation of cheap wind generators as a practical matter they are of limited use. This does not mean that wind power generation is not a cost effective means of producing electricity, my point is simply not caught up in marketing scams prevalent on the web today. I really wonder how a wind generator is built for a hundred dollars or less without a power inverter or battery? Has anyone bought a battery recently? There's the one hundred U.S. dollars represents the total cost of the budget …. Unless you pay attention to how power is used before build a wind generator that will surely economic disappointed. In the next series of articles we will continue to deal with the fallacy is shown in mainstream wind energy so stay tuned.
