What is the difference between the network and tie-off the investor network in the windmill?
I'm considering buying a windmill (turbine wind) and when it comes to the specifications of the thing, I'm lost at the level of investor (also driver) which have 2 options. It's either a grill-off, or a grid-tie … Personally I have no idea what it means so if someone can provide explanations and answers, I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance. PS: stupid answers will be reported!
It has to do with the wiring of the house if you have 1 battery and a small or large amount of large batteries. If allows the electric company, your best option is to connect the turbine to the grid, so when you have excess power that can sell the company electricity, and when the wind dies, you can buy power from them. This of course requires your permission (and not all allow), and either approve the bid or the equipment to connect DC power to the grid. This includes a special converter to generate AC power that can be (should be) phase-locked to the frequency of feeding. If you can not or will not do that, then you need lots of batteries to provide power when the wind dies, a charge controller battery and an inverter. What type of controller and the inverter is yours. I would recommend a "pure" sine-wave type. You will also need cables to connect the inverter output to the different devices you have. You could use the existing house wiring, but you need a big change for change all the wiring between the power and utility of the wind, so you can return when the wind has been absent for a long time and the batteries are dead. That is in a nutshell. contact me for more information. PS, the average use of a wind turbine is 30%, which means fixing 70% of the time. That varies by location, the height of its tower, etc, but this means you need to get a turbine of at least 4 times the average load current, 1. wind cover times, 2 so that have excess energy to charge batteries or sell the company, and 3 to cover future expansion. If you use batteries, soon discover that you need dozens of large and expensive batteries, if not hundreds, of an entire day without wind. What is the reason for selling power to the utility is the best.
