Classification of Wind Turbines
For people who are unaware of how electricity is generated, this article is to you. There are many forms of electricity as there are many sources of it. A source of electricity is the wind that we are breathing now. The wind energy can produce mechanics is important for generating electricity.
So how can we get the wind to work for us? Then let's think this way. Functions of the wind turbine so directly in front of a fan does. While a fan uses electricity to generate wind, a wind turbine uses the wind to produce electricity. A typical wind turbine consists of a blade, shaft, and generator. This is strategically located to catch the wind, which then turn the sheet. The shaft is then triggered by this simple movement. Once a continuous action stems from the blade and the shaft, a generator connected axis now provide the necessary electricity. Electricity generated by wind turbines to scan the same quality of electric energy as those found from energy sources.
Classification wind turbine
A. Under Design
There are two types of target = "_self" title = "terbunes wind"> wind turbines, vertical axis design and layout horizontal axis. The type of vertical axis is designed as an egg beater. Darrieus, a French invented it. The horizontal wind turbine, however, has two or three blades. This type of function best when directly facing the wind. Farmers with large land area found out another source of income. When the turbines Wind became the newest source of electricity, these farmers leased their land to developers the power. Wind farms have multiplied throughout the Midwest.
B. Depending on the size
Wind turbines vary not only with their designs, but also with their sizes. Smaller turbines are generally less than 100 kilowatts and are most often found in homes. They are associated with simple diesel generators and water needs pumping. There is also the value of wind turbines on a large scale. They start to reach 100 kilowatts and even a few megawatts. There are really large turbines seen in wind farms. These turbines serve as the primary source of electricity in the grid.
Familiarize yourself with the parties a different wind turbines
For those of you who are interested in learning more about wind turbines, below are the basic parts and functions:
Wind – is a tool that measures wind speed.
Blades – are the main generators of electricity, parts of the turbine. Once the wind passes through it, which will rotate causing a series of reactions that eventually lead to the production of electricity.
Brake – as with any break, this is used to stop the turbines in emergency cases. This could be a mechanical breakdown, electrical or hydraulic.
Controller – This gives the wind speed at which turbines start and stop. Usually the machine is started when the wind hits 8 mph and stops upon reaching 55 mph. It is a important part of the machine, as all activity automatically stops the machine when wind speed exceeds 55 mph, because the leaves can be easily damaged.
Generator – produces electricity usually at 60 cycles.
Axis – the signal generator to drive electricity.
Tower – is a place where the turbines can be placed for more wind.
